Hundreds of islanders and guests turned up the sea on New Year's in post at 9, when Badweg in De Koog and post 28. With a water temperature of 3.7 degrees Celsius and an air temperature of 4.9 degrees (measured at post 28), it was very fresh.
The enthusiasm of the divers ran into the North Sea, there was not any less. It was the busiest in the Koog, where some 400 divers, with or sponsored orange cap, the water appeared. At stake were 28 193 people around 13.00 hours in the water and also in Den Hoorn, the turnout was great. Much larger still was the number of spectators.
