Note To Put On Wedding Fan

stay in southern Spain II (with Elchi)

Camping in La Manga (E) (Wednesday, 10/20/2010)
Weather: very nice / Temp: 22 degrees / Wind: 1 to 2 HE

Another amazing day at the "Mar Menor" lies ahead. Under the bright blue sky, we cycle along the coast of the peninsula, "La Manga" and enjoy the mild fall temperatures.

Some use the relatively warm water to swim in the Mediterranean.

Others just enjoy the still strong sun.

A cafe stop on our two-hour bike tour a must of course not :-) This time of year have long since ceased all restaurants and cafes open.

Nevertheless, competition is great. The more surprising when one does not care for the few guests. In this restaurant we have in any event no luck.

After 10 minutes of waiting we go to the next inviting terrace bar, where we will be served immediately.

The prospect of the blue "Mar Menor" is glorious.

We are looking forward to tomorrow when it finally time to give wind surfing :-)

Camping in La Manga (E) (Thursday, 21.10.2010)
Weather: very nice / temp: 22 degrees / Wind: 1 to 2 HE

Contrary to the optimistic forecasts of "Wind Finder" and "Wind Guru" of the wind surfing is today unfortunately. It was not until Sunday afternoon we can again expect strong winds. So little wind, as this year, we have never had. After all, spoiled us with the autumn weather constantly.

Windsurfing La Manga (E) (Sunday, 24.10.2010)
Weather: very nice / Temp: 25 degrees / Wind: 0 to 5 HE

Not only does the beautiful weather today an peak day. For last week's strong winds predicted again and this time keep "Windguru" and "Wind Finder right. The beautiful morning is spent at the Sunday market at Cabo de Palos.

The market is, as always, well attended. As usual, we also get many guests from the campground.

The long familiar to all Indian folklore group will play its schmaltzy pieces.

turned the afternoon at half past two clock, our weathervane suddenly from the east to the north and nervous flutters in the wind. We hasten to big steps to the beach and are by no means the first. The surfers have here at the campsite now all wind withdrawal symptoms and do the announced wind missed. To cut short by three clock we're on the water and glide along with a few dozen like-minded people loose on the almost mirror-like "Mar Menor".

We would have more than three hours can surf, but the days are noticeably shorter and we would like to in daylight dinner :-) It's been another great Windsurftag. The southerly flow brought us a warm night. The thermometer stood at ten in the evening clock is still 20 degrees.

Camping in La Manga (E) (Monday, 25/10/2010)
Weather: nice / Temp: Measure 4-1 HE

Despite moderate northwest wind: 24 degrees / Wind in the early morning we already 18.5 degrees air temperature. The weather and wind forecasts say today requires a wind shift from northwest to northeast. Unfortunately, the wind around noon and decreasing For once we are late. Together with some other wind surfers hungry we stand with our surf stuff somewhat aghast at the beach and watch the puddles back a few early risers.

In the afternoon we wait in vain for surfable wind. The current weather situation is obviously not easy to interpret. We enjoy the "dolce far niente."

hike Calblanque (E) (Tuesday, 26/10/2010)
Weather: very nice / Temp: 22 degrees / Wind: 4-1 HE

Today is another picture-. After breakfast we will take the scooter for "Cala Reona", on the west end of Cabo de Palos. From there, a rocky path along the rugged Mediterranean coast to the bay of Calblanque.

morning is committing to this trail especially good because the sun shining directly on the eastern slopes, not so hot, the sky is burning.

We always enjoy the spectacular views of Cabo de Palos "striking the lighthouse.

The coast consists of schistose crumbling rock, so that solid footwear advised.

Among other things, it is to live through a few narrow rocky paths, but they are secured with hand ropes.

From the vantage point just before "Calblanque" you have a wonderful overview of this varied coastline with its characteristic mountain water (Cabezo de la Fuente) right in the background.

An optimal distance vision and the dark blue sky to assist the charming impression of this wild landscape.

make at this point versa, and we follow the same path back to the "Cala Reona.

Small cycling and windsurfing (E) (Wednesday, 10/27/2010)
Weather: very nice / Temp: 22 degrees / Wind: 1 to 3 HE

We use the beautiful day and a cycling trip via Los Belones "," Llano del Beal "over a small pass down through the golf complex of La Manga" to "Los Belones" and finally back to the campsite. The windless rather cool weather (only 22 degrees) is perfect for that.

the highest point of our bike tour is located at 250 m height above sea level. The rise is in the upper area of dirt road and partly quite steep.

After about an hour we reached the pass and can enjoy the view.

album's going to pass road that leads from "Portman" to "Los Belones.

lies deep below us, leaving the bay of Portman.

the downhill to Los Belones "we create with a slight tail wind in record time.

comes at three clock then hurried. Quite unexpectedly builds up from the southeast A wind that attracts many surfers on the beach. Since there is no stopping, we scurry to the surf cart to the beach and water our surfboards. But our effort is in vain. For an hour we gondolas on the "Mar Menor" around looking for sliding Twind. Except for a few hundred meters sliding it now ranges only tedious standing surfing :-(
